Civil War Block of the Month

 

Are you making the Civil War block of the month?  Join us for a demo of the block construction for the month. Then we will have a discussion on the history of the block and the battle that it represents while we sample foods made from recipes from the Civil War era. This is a free class but pre-registration is required. We will not be doing any sewing in this class.  This class will be held on the fourth Saturday of the month from 12:30 - 3:30.

Class Policies

Classes are filled on a first come, first serve basis.  All classes must be paid for in advance.  If you would like to register by phone, please have your credit card ready.  If you can’t make a class that you have signed up for, you will have to find someone to take your place.  Store credit will be issued in the event a class needs to be cancelled.  Please be sure to check your calendar before signing up!  If you are unable to make the class, please call ahead of time to let us know.  If you are attending an all day class we will break for lunch.  Please bring your lunch and beverages with you.  Please also be sure to sign up for a class according to your skill level.  At the time of registration, you will be provided a supply list.  If the class includes a pattern, you will need to bring the supplies indicated on the specific pattern.  If a book or pattern is required for class you must purchase it, no photocopying or sharing will be permitted.  This is copyright infringement and STEALING.  If a sewing class, you will need your sewing machine in good working order.  Sewing machines will not be serviced during classes.  Basic supplies needed for all classes are scissors, pins, rotary cutter, mat, thread, etc.  Please keep in mind that classes are held upstairs – so please bring only what is necessary.  We suggest waiting until a week before the class begins before purchasing supplies.  Please come to class prepared.  Students who are not prepared will be asked to sit and take notes.  Classes can not be held up because someone is not prepared, has not done the required “homework” of shows up late.  It just is not fair to the other students.  If an instructor is unable, for any reason, to teach the scheduled class or classes – a replacement will be found.  If we are unable to provide a replacement instructor you will be issued a refund for the balance.  If a replacement is put in place and you decide not to attend the class – you will not be issued a refund.  No exceptions!
