Northern Stars

featuring Tonga Batiks

  The Northern Stars 2012 Batik Block of the Month features a collection of 12 Tonga Batiks inspired by the colors of the Northern Lights.  Two sizes of jewel-toned star blocks sparkle amidst the pastel background and pieced border.  This queen sized quilt uses basic tools and piecing methods.  Included in the 2012 pattern are instructions for a pieced backing that uses eight different 44" batik fabrics.  Each pattern will include an 8 x 10 color image of the quilt, a color block key and a color fabric key.  Registrations for this beautiful quilt will begin on Wednesday, February 8 through Wednesday, February 29.  You have two methods of payment:  Pre-pay for $200, or Pre-pay a non-refundable registration fee of $50, then pay just $18 per month for 10 months with a valid credit card on file!  This Block of the Month will run from April through March.  You may pick up your block anytime during the month and you do not have to present the prior months completed block in order to receive the next one.
