Holiday Chorus Block of the Month

This Block of the Month quilt features a beautiful panel with a wren, nuthatch, cardinal, titmouse, Christmas robin and a chickadee.  This gorgeous quilt will be done in plenty of time to be enjoyed this Holiday season.  This club will run for just four months starting in July.  Come to the club meeting on the first Saturday of the month at 9:30 a.m. to pick up your kit, receive helpful hints and more!  You will also receive some great additional projects!  The kit includes all the fabric for the top and binding.  Be the first to sign up before we sell out!  Backing fabric is available and is limited.  Call or stop by the shop for more information and to register! 

Moda University "Selvages" Club

Calling all Moda Maniacs.  The 2008/2009 Moda University will be starting in September.  Club meetings will be held the third Saturday of every month or the preceeding Thursday of every month.  Club meetings will consist of a demo on block construction, any necessary tips and more.  Your membership fee will include all the fabrics to make the top and binding, monthly patterns, club meetings and a Moda U Membership Card that will entitle you to 15% off anything Moda on any one day of each month.  You choose the day!  You are more than welcome to stay and sew - this will be on a first come, first served basis.  You will have your choice of fabrics as well:  one color way will be a combination of Portabello Market and Collections For a Cause and the other colorway will consist of Batiks!  Both will be beautiful!  The first colorway is shown in the picture.  Register before September 1, 2008 and save 15% off the price of the club.  After September 1 the fee will be at full price.  Stop by to register or register by phone!

Hoffman "Bali Beauties" Club

This club will run for six months starting in September of 2008.  We have the entire collection of Hoffman Bali Handpaints on order!  Club members will receive a fat quarter of each one that arrives during the month at a discounted price of $2.50 each (normally $2.75 each).  You will also receive an additional Fat Quarter free!   What a great way to collect all those gorgeous batiks!  Call or stop by the shop to get signed up!  We must have a credit card on file and we will ship at an additional cost! 

Strip Club

Preview the fabrics between now and the club date to see what we have chosen.  American Plains collection by Marcus Brothers!  If you like what you see, preorder your kit for just $40.00!  Come to the club meeting on August 2 and receive the pattern for FREE!  You will also receive a short demonstration on block construction and see the finished quilt.  After the meeting the kits will be available for $45 and the pattern for $5.  The pattern will always remain a mystery until the club meeting!  Stripping - it's so much fun!!

Join us for our second annual outdoor quilt show.  Featured artists are from all skill levels.  Come and see their beautiful works of art!  All are welcome to enter a quilt, wallhanging, etc. in the show.  This is a non-judged show - just for fun!

Fall Sampler

We have adopted the Maine Children's Cancer Program, Scarborough Center, to do a blanket drive for.  There are approximately 55 children each year that come through the Center to receive treatment.  We all know how a quilt can comfort someone.  Please join us as we collect quilts for these special children.  Donate a lap/throw size quilt, any color or scheme you wish.  We will be collecting blankets all year long.  Our goal is to donate as many quilts as we can to this center.  If everyone on my e-mail list donated just one blanket, we could support this center for quite a few years!  Won't you please join me in bringing some comfort to these children?  Thank you in advance for your support!    Kathie Chenard
